May 7th, 2022 Election

Council Seats 1, 2, and 3 are up for election. Candidate applications are available at City Hall. 

The City of Log Cabin needs an Election Judge and Alternate, as well as poll workers for the election in May 2022.

Requirements to be an Election Judge or Alternate, per Texas Election Code Ch. 32: 

• Sec. 32.051: Must be a qualified voter of the precinct (City of Log Cabin)
• Sec. 32.052-32.0552: Elected Public Officers, candidates, employees or relatives (related within the second degree by consanguinity or affinity) of candidates, campaign treasurers or managers of candidates, or those finally convicted of an election offense are ineligible to serve as an election judge, alternate, or clerk. 

If you would like to be an Election Judge or Alternate, please submit your information to the City Secretary at City Hall or to citysecretary@logcabin.texas.govno later than Tuesday, January 18th, 2022 at 4pm. Nominees will be considered by the City Council at the Regular City Council meeting on Thursday, Jan. 20th at 7pm. Nominees need to have a brief statement ready to present to council. 

Anyone wanting to volunteer as a poll worker needs to submit their information to the City Secretary by Feb. 1st, 2022. Thank you!
